Technical Levels (T-Levels)
What are T-Levels?
T-Levels (Technical Levels) are a work-focused alternative to A Levels and are equivalent to three A Levels with a two-year course which includes at least 45 days industry involvement in a workplace. This provides learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment, higher level technical training or further study. For businesses, industry involvement could be in many forms including: student placements, sharing industrial expertise, advising on skills employers really need from college leavers. All T-Levels involve core knowledge and understanding assessments through examination, a practical employer-set project and other skills integrated within the qualification. The employer-set project provides the student an opportunity to develop a substantial piece of work in response to an employer-set brief.
