Hartlepool has been given cause to celebrate this week, with the approval of the town’s bid for the Government’s Levelling Up Fund. 

Hartlepool will receive £16.5 million of Government funding, with the intention of developing a “production village”, centred around the Church Street area’s existing, high-quality facilities, such as The BIS and the new Northern Film and TV Studios. Approval of the fund will allow the town to further develop its growing screen industry and thriving creative sector.
