The Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy have announced Phase 2 of the Red Diesel Replacement Competition, which will allow businesses to compete for funding from a package of £32.5 million. Organisations which participated in Phase 1 of the competition will have the opportunity to compete for this second round of funding, available through Phase 2. The funding will support 3-5 winning businesses to work on innovative projects aimed at developing greener energy alternatives to fossil fuels – particularly red diesel.
