The North East England Chamber of Commerce are surveying businesses of all sizes and sectors in the North East, whether they’re a member or not, to find out how business is doing in the region. The Quarterly Economic Survey is the largest and most comprehensive survey of its kind within the North East, and looks at key economic indicators, such as export orders and sales, recruitment and price pressures.
The responses are used to influence their policy work within the region, and they also feed into the national British Chambers of Commerce economic report, used to influence national decision makers, such as the Bank of England, The Treasury, and the Office for Budget Responsibility.
